The study of the positions and aspects of heavenly bodies and how they affect human life, came to be known as astrology. The word comes from astra, the Latin word for stars, and logos, which relates to logic and words. It means speaking the language of the stars. Astrology does not constitute a worship of the stars as some uninformed people might believe. That would be analogous to saying biologists worship the frogs that they dissect! Astrology consists of a study, not a worship.

In reality, astrology is an interpretive fine art based upon the science of astronomy. It consists of correlating celestial cycles (and positions) with terrestrial events and experiences. Nostradamus may have used "Horary" astrology, as well as "Judicial" astrology.

Simply stated, at the moment of your birth the planets were at a place and time that they will never ocupy again. This "moment in time" at your birth is where astrologers begin your personal natal chart. A natal chart can be made for any person or object, (i.e., airplanes, houses, cars, etc.). Even intangible things like nations, and political movements, can have charts cast for them if an exact time and place of birth (or creation) can be determined.
